Digital Boundaries

If you are like most people, there is a lot of overlap between your work and personal life which requires a balancing act. This is even more evident if you are a remote worker. Who hasn’t thrown in a load of laundry during the work day? Add a family to the mix, and you are juggling many roles at once which can get overwhelming.

One way to make those lines more distinct is by setting Digital Boundaries. Use "Do Not Disturb" mode, app blockers, or email auto-responders to separate work from personal time. Tools like Focus Mode on Windows or iOS can help you stay distraction-free. I set my Focus-mode for 45 minutes of work each hour and then I get up and move around, grab a cup of tea, play with the dogs —- anything for about 15 minutes each hour. I get in some steps and I am able to walk away for a bit to clear my head. What can you put into practice today to help you strike that balance?
