Does every presentation need to have a PowerPoint?
We have been conditioned to accept that if you are summoned to prepare a presentation, you’ll need to get your slide deck ready. That’s not always necessary. It might actually be a time waster.
What team are you on?
The word precrastinator describes my method accurately. I checked (of course I did) - it is a word. As soon as I become aware of a task or project due date, whether it’s a few days away or weeks or even months, I immediately spring into action with my whiteboard, sticky notes, markers and jump right in. My goal is to complete whatever it is with plenty of time to spare so I can rehearse and refine.
Lifelong Learning
Have you ever attended a well thought it and prepared professional development event, either an in-person training workshop or online seminar, and felt inspired and excited while there only to get back to the workplace and feel at a loss with what to do with all of that information?
Continuous Learning
Continuous learning. Lifelong learning. As humans, we are meant to learn and adapt.
So why do organizations still schedule “one and done” training for their team?
The importance of digital skills
Let’s get right to it. Professional skills development used to be a luxury, it’s now a necessity. Digital skills combine both hard and soft skills and not only include how to use a cell phone and a computer, but extend to the ability to access, manage and create information.
Is your team disengaged?
Employees want to learn. They are literally begging to be upskilled and reskilled. Leadership teams must recognize this and direct employees to learning that will be a good match and aligned with interests and goals for both the organization and the learner.
